Ngawang Dhendup takes charge of City

Former Transport United Head Coach Ngawang Dhendup has agreed terms to take charge of City’s dugout starting season 2020.

The three-time title winning coach, two national and one Thimphu league, is considered one of the best tactician in the Bhutanese football. “He is a champion and brings in winning mentality to the team.” said Pema Rinchen, General Secretary of the club. “Therefore he is the perfect fit for our project.”

Ngawang has been allowed to bring his own coaching staff and one of them is Sonam, the goalkeeping coach. The General Secretary extended his heartfelt welcome on behalf of the club, its board and the supporters. “We are here to offer our full co-operation to the new coaching team and looking forward to achieving greater targets.”, Pema continued.

The new gaffer’s first objective is to prepare the team for the upcoming Gold Cup in Phuentsholing.
