Fixture Update

Thimphu City Football Club’s Premier League game number four will be played on June 16.

Reds were 17 minutes into the game against Druk Lhayul on June 12 when the government announced a 72-hour city-wide lockdown following the detection of a positive case in one of the schools in Thimphu. The match was immediately called off. The lockdown was lifted today after over 2000 close contacts tested negative.

The match will be reset to zero minutes, according to the Bhutan Football Federation, although both sides must use the same lineup, including the bench. Sanctions and substitutions will stay the same as they were when the game was called off.

As anticipated, the remainder of the games have also been affected and the new fixture has been updated accordingly.
