Our match against Druk Lhayul FC that was scheduled to happen this evening at Changlimithang has been postponed following the announcement of lockdown made by Hon’ble Health Minister. While no decision has been made on the successive fixtures, they are likely to be affected as well.
The club is in full agreement with the decision taken by the Government in order to curb the virus. Our fullest cooperation and devotion will always be given to the nation’s top priority, which is now the battle against the spread of Covid-19.
All club activities will be put on hold with immediate effect until a clear directive is received. This includes the year-long youth coaching program of Thimphu City Football Academy. The club is fully aware that maintaining match fitness while under lockdown will be challenging for the boys.
Thimphu City FC will make announcement as soon as the information has been received. Meanwhile, the club urges everyone to kindly follow the Government recommended health protocols and avoid non-essential movements.
